I don’t care if I lose a thousand followers overnight, but if you think “tranny” or “shemale” are remotely acceptable ways to refer to a transgender person, please unfollow me.

The number of notes on this pleases both my ego and my fragile faith in humanity.

Adding on, “extra hole boy”, or “pussy boy” are equally abominable ways to refer to trans men.

Dont use Shim, shehe/heshe, chick with a dick d*ckgirl or c*ntboy either

and if you use “it” to dehumanize any trans person i will personally come to your house, break down your door, and piss on everything you own

‘Sissy’ and ‘trap’ are also utterly reprehensible…

Also if you call a trans woman futa I will kick your fucking teeth in

Please yes, im fucking sick of people looking at and consuming futinari culture and think that’s what we are

is it okay for a person who is not trans to reblog this?

Given the fact this is a legit list of words that trans people don’t want to be called/don’t want to hear, I hereby decree this post may be reblogged by everyone who wants to spread the word that these words are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Hey I’m starting to see Joanne the Scammer on my dash again, and I’m just reminding y'all that that character is a transphobic caricature of trans women and sex workers that was made by a cis man.

yall calling every contestant on rupaul’s “man in a wig” is like…not only wrong but extremely transphobic considering a whole slew of queens have come out as trans women and many are non binary or on the trans spectrum in general. I understand yall not liking rupaul himself but lets not sit up here and act like every drag queen is a cis man because that’s literally a transmisogynist ideal

like off the top of my head sonique, stacy layne matthews, carmen carrera, monica beverly hillz, kenya michaels, jiggly caliente and gia gunn have all come out as trans women.
jiggly and carmen were fucking transitioning before they were even on the show!!! and obviously as we all know, peppermint BEEN out, for years.
courtney act, violet chachki, jinkx monsoon, raja and bendela have also all officially stated they’re nonbinary or otherwise not cis.

and there’s likely many more queens who don’t identify as 100% cis and haven’t said it, because historically drag has ALWAYS been and will always be intrinsically linked to the trans experience.
it’s often the most practical way for many trans women and nb people to explore our gender identity safely and freely. coming to terms with being trans is fucking difficult and there’s not always certainty, so performing in drag and presenting the way you want to present , feeling how it feels to be perceived the way you want to be, how it feels to navigate the world, can be vital to a trans woman coming to terms w herself and having the resolve to begin her transition.
it’s also one of the few jobs we can feel safe doing (or even get in the first place)

like we get it you dont fuck w ru, who does, but you can criticise her without being a transmisogynistic asshole !! and coming for the trans women who disagree with ya dumb ass doesn’t make your argument any smarter it makes you look dumb as fuck so JOT that and then choke

nonbinary isnt trans. the vast majority of queens on the show are just that, DRAG QUEENS, men in wigs. I think comparing drag queens to actual transwomen is far more insulting, considering they do it as a hobby and as entertainers and not because they suffer from crippling dysphoria, like actual transpeople.

PREACH, calling TRANSWOMEN “men in wigs” is transphobic as shit, calling a drag queen a man in a wig is … calling em’ what they are.

I like how you said “preach” as if they actually said something that makes sense. both of you T-body hoes are stupid because the person that commented literally gave you examples of trans women who ARE drag queens. The two terms aren’t mutually exclusive and gia gunn specifically has said that being a trans woman is who she is but a drag queen is what she does and that applies to so many other trans women. So AGAIN you calling all drag queens men in wigs when that’s not the case is transmisogynistic you dipshit. And also, if you knew anything the history of drag, you would have known that the first drags queens were trans women who used their entertaining skills to 1 cope with dysphoria, 2 be able to express their womanhood in a relatively safe place and 3 make a profit off their skills to fucking survive just like “actual transpeople” yall dumb as fuck. lastly non binary people ARE trans LMAO they arent’ BINARY trans people but they are still trans like what are you even talking about.
