There’s nothing brave or cool about Melanie Martinez putting out a diss track against a survivor. The two statements she first put out were vague. In the first she claimed Timothy Heller “never said no” and the second she thanked fans for researching the timeline (aka thanking her fan for giving her ways to discredit Timothy). Releasing it for free makes it appear as If she’s not directly profiting from the song, but she is by using it as tool to damage Timothy Heller’s credibility and save her public image.
