Is there any irony in people identifying themselves as rationalists inevitably becoming insular and cultish cliques focusing their unified critiques against the most vulnerable people in society, or is that just kind of the logical outcome of the intellectual elitism that comes with rationalist tradition?
The irony is this being posted by someone who supports the most cultish neoliberal post modern clique, trans activism, which is a hate movement against women and particularly lesbians.
Trans activists are like “Laverne Cox doesn’t have male privilege because his brother said so and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who is from Nigeria, needs to be more intersectional!” and “Butch lesbians have masculine privilege, lesbians who don’t sleep with trans women are murderous oppressors!”
This whole idea that men are more oppressed for the clothes they wear than women are for the way our bodies are exploited as resources globally is mind blowing and erases the experiences of the majority of the world’s women. It’s the ultimate western abstract pseudo intellectual attempt for male supremacists to feign caring about women.
Yeah they care about “women” so long as those “women” have dicks.

The TERF that runs that Gender Identity Watch site recently targeted a queer group I’m a part of for Seattle because they put out a PSA warning people to stay away from her because of how dangerous she is, she has doxxed all the mods (a few are trans) and has outed children and put them in danger in the name of ‘feminism’. They’re fucking vile and I hope she fucking drops dead.
I went receipt-hunting on aphroditelesbians and was not surprised with what I found.
in addition to the mods’ transphobic remarks, you can see here several examples of biphobia and even lesbophobia–stating they felt “disappointed” when they learned kristen stewart identified as bisexual, and reblogging a post where the op said they “wished that one day, all lesbians would be gold star lesbians.”

making fun of people who worry about people being terfs is shitty. ‘op is a terf’ is a warning, not a funny meme
social ostracization is a valid and necessary tactic to keep spaces safe for marginalized individuals. pointing out that op is a terf isnt “petty because what op said was “good/valid/useful/funny:”, and isnt “silencing women’s voices” - telling someone that op is a terf and then ostracizing those terfs is a necessary and vital tactic to keep abusers out, stop the harmful spread of their toxic ideology, and protect vulnerable individuals from their violent, abusive rhetoric.
i wholeheartedly endorse this post - dont collude with terfs, and dont take it as a personal attack if someone drops you an ask saying “hey op of that post is a terf just wanted to let you know”.
