please don’t keep owls as pets. they are not pets. nor are they easily trained birds. unless you are a trained hawker or falconer you have no right to keep these birds. they are not domesticated, they do not do well in captivity without specialised care, and they live quite a long life - up to 20 years - so if you decide you can no longer handle an owl, it is unlikely you will be able to find it a suitable home (and no, it is extremely unwise to try to set your captive owl free - it will likely starve as a result) and will have to have it put to sleep.

OWLS ARE NOT PETS. THEY CANNOT BE DOMESTICATED. THE REAL WORLD IS NOT HOGWARTS.
