So Gabriel is making replicas of the Miraculous’s? Interesting, imagine if he was able to switch Adrien’s ring out for a replica. Imagine Adrien being confused because Plagg won’t help him transform and he just thinks it’s broken or something instead of suspecting his father. A nice easy swap with no suspicions, just confusion from his son

I can’t help but imagine this in a Gabriel is NOT Hawk Moth universe, where one day, there’s an akuma attack because of course there is, and it destroys more of Paris than usual. Gabriel finds out from Nathalie and the Gorilla that Adrien is not with them. He’s not surprised; he already knows where his son is. Gabriel Agreste is always composed and standing tall, but after that moment when panic slices through his veins, he doesn’t care that his dress shoes slam on the concrete, that his suit gets soiled from his running, that his face is showing such desperation unfit for an unflappable mogul in the cutthroat fashion industry.

He spots Ladybug in the middle of the destruction, releasing a white butterfly from her bandalore. He pays her no mind, and searches for the familiar mop of golden hair, the same one that used to be so small and swaddled into a tiny, miraculous bundle of blankets in his arms—

“ADRIEN!”
