Tumblr: Oppressed groups are allowed to hate every single individual of the oppressor groups!
Me, a lgbt person: So does that mean I can hate Islam?
Tumblr: No! That’s Islamphobic!
Me: But you said-
Tumblr: NO!!!
Me: But they literally throw gay people off of roof top-
Tumblr: SHUT UP YOU ISLAMPHOBIC CISHET!
So you live in an Islamic theocracy, right?
Because if you live somewhere where the primary religion of the social majority is not Islam, you’re not hating your oppressors.
Especially if you’re in a country filled with so much Islamophobic rhetoric being pushed by politicians and the media that muslims are one of the top targets of hate crimes.
Take a break from thinking up strawmen and try to understand how the sociological concepts you’re bringing up actually work.
Remember, folks…you’re only allowed to criticize the Muslims in your own country. Your criticism may NOT cross national borders.
OP was very clearly referring to hatred and not criticism. Nowhere does “criticize” appear in this post.
Onto your argument:
The Islamic theocracies I was referring to are patriarchal and oppress women.
By your logic, this oppression in the middle east justifies hatred of men everywhere. Even in places that you don’t consider oppressive of women, such as the United States.
So is misandry justified? Or should “criticism” not cross national borders?
I can understand, if you choose to wear a hijab, or whatever, because you’re religious, and you want to be close to your GOD, or what have you, but let’s look at the facts about Hijab. The Obligations of Hijab.
Um,listen. I grew up in a Muslim state.I don’t wear a hijab. You’re not forced to wear one,it’s completely your choice. I didn’t bother to read your entire post, but the parts I did read were incredibly islamophobic and it would be appreciated if you just shut the fuck up.
