Okay, something important I need to point out– someone needs to say it!

Legend of Everfree– the soundtrack
The soundtrack is so important to me, it is so good and great–!

All of the songs (except one)– are about recovery and that is such a huge and important aspect of this movie and I can’t stress that enough!

Literally the opening song

Will you be lost by time or be part of history?
Will your story be told or remain a mystery?
Will they sing your song, telling all that you have done?
Time to make your choice, only you can be the one

Will you do something great with the time that you have here?
Will you make your mark? Will you conquer what you fear?
And when you go back home, everybody there will see
You were part of the Legend of Everfree!

is all about talking about the choice that you have to make to recover– about moving on and being free from your past.

In Midnight in Me, Twilight talks about how she’s haunted still by all that she’s been through, and done, and how she’s still afraid– afraid of herself, and that she’s still bad, and afraid that she’ll hurt her new friends; she doesn’t want them to find out because they’ll think it’s weird or abandon her or she’ll somehow hurt them.
She even has some regret for having friends because everything just seemed so much easier when she didn’t know how bad she had it and she didn’t know what was missing– how it would have been easy to just give in before she became Midnight Sparkle!

And it might seem scary now
But it can be wonderful, too
So how about we embrace the magic
And make the magic part of you?

At the same time, when she and her friends were all getting these new magical powers, Twilight became terrified that Midnight Sparkle is taking over and rubbing off on her friends– that she’s a danger to them.
I mean, this is the song that Twilight needed to hear…

It’s all about recovery and self-forgiveness.

LIterally the entire song is about recovery and becoming the greatest you can be with the help of friends that believe in you, forgiving yourself, and pushing through fear– writing your own story and taking it into your own hands to become everything you wanted to be. You aren’t just a ‘bad end’– you can be a hero in your story.
Twilight was haunted by her past– the environment she used to be in, not having friends, then becoming a literal demon both because of the people around her manipulated her and because of he blind seeking to fill the void that she felt.

This just recaps again– ONE OF THE BIGGEST POINTS OF THE MOVIE WAS ABOUT TWILIGHT’S RECOVERY!
This ends the movie off on such a hopeful note– about how things will get better.
This really is such an amazing soundtrack for a lovely movie!
