I honestly wish intense physical pain on any cis fool who says being transgender is a mental illness

Gender..Dysphoria..

And?

It’s a disorder

Aaaaand? Im trans and i dont experience gender dyshoria… wait are you cis?

You are fortunate then. & nah

I really. … have no idea how you can think this…… like actually think about it for a second lmao…. a tree grows an apple but is an apple a tree? Lol no Just because something caused something doesnt make it the thing lmao

How do you compare 2 completely different things? how does that make any sense?

You have to experience gender dysphoria to be transgender. Otherwise, you’re just some idiot pretending to be something you’re not. Like cosplayers. OHHHHHHHHHHHH!

So basically the cis guy is complaining about cis people, which ends up having him argue with a trans person over if dysphoria is a mental illness or not. Okay then.

Neither of us are cis so i dont know what angle ur going for

I’m going for the “you don’t experience dysphoria so you aren’t trans” angle.

Lmaoooooooo i mean i have experienced it in the past? but im comfortable with myself now?? And were all forgetting about gender euphoria which is what i mainly get/got :3

@thetransgenderoffender Is gender euphoria a thing for trans people?

I don’t think so.
Imagine having a broken leg.
Dysphoria is the broken bone.
Sometimes your leg is less sore than other times.
Claiming to be trans because of gender euphoria is like saying you have a broken leg because your leg feels great.

They think that cis people invented dysphoria…

Oh dear.

Well see that’s because @mossyhappenings has no knowledge of what dysphoria even is, only backing it up with personal experience, which is by no means always right.

No one said i was always right…. or that anything is ever one way…. thats the point im trying to make but everyone is putting words in my mouth lmao…. no one experiences anything the same way!

But you used poor analogy to try and justify that you do not need gender dysphoria to be trans, which is wrong to begin with. And who is to say you are this mystical outlier, without any evidence you have nothing to use with your claim. Therefore what you are trying to say is by no means right unless proven otherwise, and compared to a good amount of studies done on actual gender dysphoria, you basically have no chance. Personal experience alone does not justify an argument. Also, elipses have 3 periods, not 4 :)

So
@mossyhappenings
is basically a Cis person who hates Cis people. Great.

“physical pain”

lmao

@thathighclassbitch
I…. dont know how many times i have to say this lmao…. but i am not cis…. like…. it says it on my blog even And lol yeah that part was really salty

Well if you don’t have gender dysphoria, you’re not transgender. And not transgender is Cis. Hard concept to grasp, I know ;)

What you’re doing right now is gatekeeping and I don’t know how you think that misgendering trans people helps you or any other trans person but it doesn’t. It’s not up to you who is the real Tru Trans™.

Gender dysphoria is caused by living in a society that harms trans people and projects its own negative image onto us. You don’t have to hurt to be trans nor do you have to buy into the projected image of cis society. Trans people are beautiful and amazing and not the product of mental illness.

No one is trying to infiltrate the trans community. Truscum ideology is a form of respectability politics and represents a capitulation to cisnormativity. Reconsider your stance because you’re reproducing TERFy abuse on a level in which it should never happen.

Gender dysphoria is what makes us trans. When we don’t have it, we’re happy with our bodies, and it means we are cis. And saying you’re trans just because you “identity” as something other than your birth sex means exactly responding to the societal norms.

1. So if I was assigned a gender at birth and I transition and then I’m happy with myself and my body I’m now cis?

2. Don’t you think defining being trans as suffering by default isn’t (A) more socially normal (B) more generally harmful?

Being trans is far more than some doctor’s diagnosis. The power of our self-identification has always been with our community and medicalization has always been about taking that away.
