“Communism, homosexuality and chocolate bread”
The biggest political revendication here is that they wrote « chocolatine », and if this truly is on a Paris wall, then it’s an absolute crime. France has this strange division between people who call chocolate bread « pain au chocolat » (the North and most of the center of the country) and those who say « chocolatine » (the south). It’s still an ongoing contention that is not likely to reach a solution or compromise any time soon, and having « chocolatine » pop in a fiercely « pain au chocolat » city like Paris is like someone staking an US flag in the middle of London.
You may think I’m joking but I tell you A LOT of us have feelings about this issue. I’m not fucking with yall. And nevermind the fact that we in the North call raspberry bread « framboisine » rather than « pain à la framboise » and it makes no sen— *sound of barely muffled gunshot cut the speech abruptly*
