i think the cool thing about art is that u can start from drawing whatever tf u want and still work ur way up to getting better while also doing it the way ur most comfortable with
a Thing i learned along this Art Road is that it’s completely okay to draw and learn ur own way even if some ppl may say like “oooh don’t draw the anime!!! its bad!!” or idk “dont shade with black” basically “don’t draw this way” there’s no wrong way to Art, if anime is ur style then keep doing it until u want to try a dif style, there’s also art styles out there that shade w/ black
i mean i’m not saying there aren’t methods and paths to take that will speed up the learning process, there’s plenty of resources to help! my point is that everything that is art is subjective and the ppl doing the art are all different and all have their own ways and their own opinions on doing things and sometimes the way u learn won’t always line up with the ways of others
keep ur passion and determination, it’s okay to learn ur own way and decide what the best course of action is when it comes to traversing art hell
the term “pansexual” is rarely EVER used, if ever, and now it’s being explicitly used on a cover for a really popular comic character and their movie!!!! the director tim miller said “pansexual deadpool. i want that quoted.” and HERE IT IS!!!! he was unafraid, not even hesitant, to specify pansexuality. not just “he’s attracted to all genders/all people/etc.” but PANSEXUAL. no one ever actually uses the term. (i mean schitt’s creek did but deadpool is so big and popular and mainstream!) most people don’t think it’s a real thing because it’s so invisible.
MY HEART IS SINGING and i feel so happy i could cry like people are finally unafraid to use that label. i’m thinking about how many more people are going to know what pansexuality is and it just makes me so thrilled. i’m thinking about how many less comments like “that’s not really a thing” and “you’re really just bi that’s not real” and “i think you just want to be a special snowflake” i’ll get.
it’s important to use the terms and explicitly state them. representation is so important. i’m crying. maybe i’m overreacting but let me be happy.
