we used to complain so much about “filler” in adventure time but in season 8 there were only 4 episodes that were not directly connected to either Islands, Stakes, or the season finale
one of the episodes is about pb sending tiny candy people to space so that they can build a new society if hers goes boom, mass effect style
one was about about jake having a skateboarding contest with his granddaughter who hed never seen before
one was about…. fionna and cake being projected into ice kings mind from our universe? not the best retcon but still significant i think
and the last one was about james baxter the horse
what im saying is there was only1 episode in the entire season that was not plot relevant in some way and it was james baxter the horse
Oh my god. Ok tho I Remember You was an iconic moment in the collective AT fandom. Like this was after I’d just started binge watching the show everyday for a week AND IT WAS TOO REAL.
It was like a turning point in the AT fandom, so many new people got into it after this episode. I was one of these people.
