if you want augmented people to experience oppression in cyberpunk settings don’t just pretend racism stopped existing, make it an intersection thing. if it’s “no augs” that might just be the newest way to ban people who are poor, disabled, otherwise dispossessed and especially poc because these are the kind of people for whom augmenting their bodies is a requirement to even keep the shit jobs they’re forced to do on the daily to keep their kids fed and heads above water.
