sorry to talk MORE about what I hate in pet ownership but: people who own purebred dogs that were obviously bred too much and suffer while alive. like i’m sorry but you really should not be buying these dogs. they are visibly having trouble breathing or doing ordinary activities because of how messed up they are.

when I helped my cousin with her dog walking business there were two bulldogs that couldn’t even go on a normal walk because THEY COULDN’T BREATHE. I know individually no one can stop this especially under capitalism where they’re treated as commodities but i’m sorry it’s not humane to participate in buying these dogs.

like firstable how can you own a dog dying when it walks and be okay with it 🤔
