neglect often looks like parents who just refuse to actually Parent like they provide shelter/food but do none of the emotional work of parenting
Not to piggyback this post but I also think that capitalist society in general contributes to neglect like this

Okay I’ll counter your argument ma’am, the reason something like child abuse is actually a political issue is because capitalism leads to the formation of isolated nuclear families that get rid of any kind of community social support, along with the fact that people literally have to work multiple jobs to feed their kids just so they can survive the whole parental relationship being one of provider and not nurturer or parent . But tell me more about how this is not a political issue Queen 😂😂😂
