I understand the sentiment - however, proboscis monkeys are a beloved local species. I believe that, were the workers offered a choice, they would likely not destroy the habitat of this animal for the profit of a logging company. Otherwise, this display of sympathy would likely not happen. Relating to this, please consider also that British presence in the region has arguably led to family and corporate control in Borneo. (x)
