So, this is one of my favorite Donald/Scrooge Comics, because I think this Comic Shows exactly what Scrooge wants and expects of Donald and what it would take for Scrooge to be truly satisfied with and proud of him.

Baby Donald And Scrooge And Ice Cream is a recurring theme/symbol for them first discovering that they’re very different people who don’t… go well together. so, yes, i think that’s why it’s brought up and subverted here.

the interesting thing is that Baby Triplets And Scrooge And Ice Cream is a recurring thing, too, but it’s basically just… scrooge getting them ice cream is a sign of him being in a really good mood. there’s barely any drama about it.
