I think being able to construct arguments that you don’t agree with, using the internal logic of a system, is an important skill that all philosophy students should learn. You can understand how a particular system works and play with it, push it to its limits, determine its operations, without agreeing with it as such. 

Actually, it’s not just that this is an important skill; it’s the skill necessary to be able to do philosophy in any meaningful way. To have a discussion in any meaningful way, really; if you can’t determine how the things you disagree with are operating, you can’t authentically articulate what about them you disagree with.
