Anonymous: Fuck those cops but "warming up" your car is a myth. Unless you're driving a carbureted car (which have been outdated for 30 years) you're not only wasting fuel but also harming the engine. Running idly actually causes the electronic fuel injection to put in extra fuel into the combustion chamber to compensate for the cold. This also strips the lubricating oil off piston rings and cylinder liners. Driving calmly for the first 5-15 min is all the motor needs to warm up.
