he made multiple decisions to get to where he was. he didn’t just happen to stumble upon a body, he specifically went to the fuji suicide forest to find a body. he made the journey there, spent time looking, eventually found one, filmed it, and then had hours and hours, if not days to reconsider his decision as he edited the video

and he still posted it for everyone to see

a mistake is saying something mean and hurting someone’s feelings. it’s tripping over your own feet and faceplanting. it’s adding too much flour to a cake recipe and it doesn’t turn out well.

he didn’t make a mistake. he made multiple informed decisions. he knew exactly what he was doing. he’s just fucking heartless

it’s like that one bit where I think it was a comedian talking about cheating and how it’s not a “mistake” but a sequence of the fuckin things and a set of active choices you made
