has anyone done hrt stuff with planned parenthood? like what does it cost to do it through them?

i got on hormones through planned parenthood! i dont have any insurance, by the way.

the process was very diffcult and included hard hitting questions such as “do you want to go on hormones?” and “are you of aware what they’ll do to your body?” to which you answer HELL YES and to which they respond “cool. we’re gonna take your blood and write you a prescription when we get back results saying you won’t die from going on them.”

my initial appointment including bloodwork was in total $105, and i got the prescription literally 3 days later, they sent it to the pharmacy of my choice.

i followed it up a month later for $55, and then was prescribed three months worth of hormones.

while it probably varies in cost from state to state, in my personal experience its SUPER easy to go on hormones thru planned parenthood considering they do informed consent (meaning you and you alone decide whether or not you want to go on them barring any medical reasons, not a therapist.)
