Here’s my hot take; if you used to accept trans people “just because that’s what you were lead to believe you should do” but then you encountered terf rhetoric and “suddenly everything made sense and you rejected the ‘trans doctrine’”, then you haven’t suddenly seen the light and found some greater truth about society. All it means is that you were already transphobic and just were afraid to admit it, and now that you’ve found a group of people who validate your prejudice you feel like you “felt this all along” because you’re just enacting the same societal transphobia that conservatives and gender norms had already bred into you and which you never really actually questioned or let go of. Also go fuck yourself.
