u ever notice that in tv & movie narratives depicting corrupt police its always like… an imposter or a handful of bad seeds who Betrayed The Force and the rest of the cops are good lol…bonus points if the “good cops” end up arresting the traitors or the villain those traitors obey! im thinkin daredevil, im thinkin fantastic beasts and where to find them, im thinkin zootopia… i could probably go on… its still copaganda if at the end of the day it depicts the average police officer as just and the “bad” police officer as an exception

to be fair, i felt like daredevil (in season 1) kinda strayed away from that trope a bit, i remember feeling like a gut punch as i was slowly realising with the main characters that what looked like an overwhelming majority of cops were corrupt in that show. i felt horrified by how helpless the situation seemed
