cptsdead:

the thing with being “healthy” is that it’s always commonly attributed to body weight and diet, and therefore creating this ridiculous notion that fat = unhealthy. but what people don’t realize that the aspects of being “healthy” also includes mental wellbeing, social networks and general life quality.

so what’s healthy? you eat three meals (plus snacks!) each day. you get a decent night’s sleep. you can regulate emotions. you smile often. you have a social network of friends or family that you regularly interact and have good relations with. you have a job that you can at least tolerate and still find some time to relax. you have hobbies and interests. you can cope with life as it is with very little difficulties and the occasional ups and downs.

so the next time i hear someone say that all fat people are inherently unhealthy i’m making sure they never see the light of day ever again
