i really dislike it when people try and shrug off what bakugou did to deku as just “bullying.”

there’s a line where bullying turns into abuse. and bakugou crossed over that line a lot. bakugou didn’t tease deku til he cried, he didn’t poke fun at deku until he was upset; bakugou abused him. he tormented deku into crushing his self esteem, he suicide baited him without a second thought, he’s mercilessly beat up deku multiple times from they were young and he’s done it again in the manga. he’s hurt him so much that deku has reached a point where he despises bakugou, even if he still admires him.

point is, bakugou isn’t just a bully, he’s an abuser.

i’m not even gonna address anything else about this post but do y’all not realize that literally it’s bullying. like. bullying and abuse are essentially the same thing bullying is just when someone is targeted because they’re perceived as weaker. like i’m not even bringing my own opinion into this, I’m just telling y’all that you’re fucking idiots that none of y’all are using any definitions correctly. Y’all just think abuse is worlds worse or whatever because of connotations, but like……….. also um calling a literal child abusive is weird because it implies a meticulous intent to manipulate for personal gain (which uh most children are not capable of, especially at like 8 years old lol), whereas bullying implies the simple act of targeting an individual because they are disliked/seen as weaker. anyways.
