Look, Just…. don’t be afraid to talk to people- they’re just people. But don’t dump all your problems on someone who hasn’t specifically said they’re happy to listen to anything you have to say. Please? It’s stressful.

I get this a lot, like a LOT. I don’t know why but people on the internet and even in person just seem comfortable enough with me to unload really heavy things on me really soon after we’ve met. Like to the point where sometimes all i can respond with is “go to the hospital” or “call the police”

I know it’s selfish but I already have to deal with enough anxiety in my own life, even if it’s a pretty good life, to the point I use medication. To have added anxiety about someone else who’s life I can’t control and sometimes I don’t even know is really hurting me. I know sometimes people need others to talk to, but I almost feel like I’m being some kind of anxiety blackmailed into sharing strangers pain that I didn’t sign up for.

It was getting to the point of a problem that I was going to make a post a out it but this comic pretty much covers It, so sorry for jumping on along with it. And now I’m sure I’m going to get a bunch of “were you talking about me” messages now. But it’s gotten to the point where I’m debating about even talking to people for fear I’ll get more of this.

Its not selfish, its not being comfortable with talking about stuff like this after just meeting someone
