Fun fact: Some grizzly bears are going vegetarian due to climate change. Berries are ripening earlier than usual and easier to obtain than fish. They’re ripening two days earlier every decade.

Eating berries instead of fish makes them gain weight more quickly because they can eat tons and don’t need to make a physical effort to do so.

This behavior is already affecting the ecosystem, because the fish carcasses bears left behind are no longer there to enrich the soil.
