Listen we can talk about how there’s no ethical consumption yada yada all our fucking lives, but we really need to start actually boycotting and organising against these companies and institutes that fund Nazis, KKK members, and fascists in general. The only reason the DAPL slowed down was because people threatened to withdraw their accounts from the financial institutions that were going to fund the construction of the pipeline.

Can abstaining at an individual level do a lot? Nope, not a lot. But can abstaining as an organised effort to reach an end? We obviously can‼️

DefundDAPL lead to the people moving almost $84 Million in Personal Assets to different organisations and disinvestment , and while it isn’t nearly enough, it still scared FIs into at least temporarily stopping.
If we can’t do the same for organisations that have very openly declared their support for fascists, and then end up using the same old “there’s no ethical consumption under late capitalism” like for it, we’re fucking idiots.
