There’s a riot currently ongoing in Virginia at the University of Virginia between Nazis, BLM, and other resistance groups (I don’t know which ones exactly). It started around 9 am EST when resistance groups meet with Nazis who were protesting the removal of a statue of Robert E Lee, Confederate general.
I haven’t heard of any deaths so far, but a state of emergency has been declared. If anyone has any links they could post I would greatly appreciate it as I’m on mobile and can’t link. But I have a big follow base and I wanted everyone to know.

David Duke has stated “this is part of taking the country back” and called it “a turning point”. He is in the middle of the riot.Several people have been injured after a car plowed into a crowd of counter-protesters marching against a “pro-white” rally Saturday in Charlottesville, Va., witnesses said.
Video of the terrifying moment shows at least one person being tossed into the air as the silver Dodge Charger mowed into the crowd.
“Yeah, it was intentional,” said witness Dan Miller. “About 40 miles an hour, hit about 15-20 people, crashed into the two cars in front of it, and then backed up and sped away while cops were standing on the side of the road and didn’t do anything.”
It’s worse than bad. There’s a video of it that CNN has played a couple times. They’re also continually playing living footage. It’s. There aren’t words, honestly.

Police in riot gear are present (you can see them here and there in the live footage) but there aren’t enough of them. And even if there were I doubt the protesters would be any safer.
The vice mayor, Wes Bellamy, called out trump. He refused to give info on those injured or on any arrests because they’re “still gathering intel”.

there has been one death confirmed by the mayor of Charlottesville, VA
This is serious enough that my ambulance in Richmond (1.5-2 hours away) has been placed in reserve to respond to this. Pretty much every public safety service in the state is pooling resources should they need to divert over there.
A state police helicopter has also crashed, leaving 2 dead. Cause of crash is unknown at this time and police have not released the names of the 2 people killed in the crash. This was just outside of Charlottesville, VA. While, it was not explicitly stated in the reports, it seems that the helicopter was part of the response to the car attack.

The car was driven by a 20yo white man named James Alex Fields Jr. He and his mother had just moved to Maumee, Ohio. Five people are still in critical condition.
