It’s weird how schools in the US don’t talk about how Winston Churchill was a horrible horrible man.

Please elaborate as I only have a vague idea of how horrible he was and I’d love to see an entire thread dragging this man

Well, just off the top of my head, the Bengal famine in 1943, in which around 4.3 million people died. 100% his fault, the blame is entirely his, he signed off on so many dying. He moved the food that would have gone to those in need to secure British interests in the war.

“Ships laden with wheat were coming in from Australia, docking in Calcutta and were instructed by Churchill not to disembark but to sail on to Europe,” Tharoor wrote in his book, Inglorious Empire “And when conscience-stricken British officials wrote to the Prime Minister in London, pointing out that his policies were causing needless loss of life, all he could do was write peevishly in the margin of the file, ‘Why hasn’t Gandhi died yet?”

He blamed the Indian population at the time for the famine, saying it was because they were “breeding like rabbits”. I’m 100% sure there’s more, because behind ever imperialist empire, there’s a trail of dead bodies.
