While I appreciate the chart and the work that went into it, I feel like the colours were chosen to fuck with as many homestucks as possible

A lot of the comments on this are like “oh wow this fandom is so sexist, there’s an equal amount of boys and girls in the comic so it’s so wrong that people only write fic of the boys” but…have you looked at the charts of who says the most words in Homestuck?

It’s John, Dave and Karkat. They have the most dialogue, the most attention from the story, and the most character depth (arguably not John I guess). The next biggest segment on this chart belongs to, surprise surprise, the most divisive of the villainous characters, Gamzee. Who is also a dude.

These biases reflect the way Homestuck treats its characters. It’s not a case of a horribly biased fandom that only likes the boys…Homestuck is pretty heavily focused on the boys and people work with what they’re given.
