the “scientific” belief that most tapir attacks are instances of “mothers” protecting their babies is an utter falsehood. all tapirs are boys, first of all, but also tapirs aren’t remotely concerned about the wellbeing of their babies, who are more than capable of protecting themselves. they attack humans out of a desire to consume flesh.
