im over youtubers getting free surgery through crowdfunding when they make six figures filming yt vids

She has Waardenburg syndrome and y'all sound rude as fuck. If people want to donate money then leave it, it was their choice to do so and cosmetic surgery ain’t cheap.

A few things bc apparently YouTubers aren’t supposed to see public criticisms of themselves:

1) I did get my jaw and chin shaved down. I also had my forehead reconstructed, my trachea shaved, and my lip lifted to reduce distance between my features vertically. The point of FFS for me was not to get a new face, but to reverse the effects of testosterone on my features. I am not interested in looking like someone else. It cost so much because I went to an extremely experienced, highly reknowned doctor who left me with literally no visible scars. I have had this same thing said behind my back by other trans women who strive for the Kardashian look and I get it, but that’s not me. I am not going to go for a look that is not mine.

2) The man you posted a picture of has the same genetic mutation that I do. He looks rad as hell with his unibrow and I am proud to share facial features with my fellow Waardenburg Syndrome peeps. I love my features and won’t be shamed into hating them again because someone has a problem with men that don’t groom as much as other people do.

3) I absolutely do not make six figures. When I started crowdfunding for FFS, I had less than 50,000 subscribers and wasn’t even able to do YouTube full time. Now, I do make more money but still nowhere close to six figures. I make just enough to get by with a normal amount of “luxuries” (clothes, make-up, etcetera). I do not lead a glamorous lifestyle by any means.

4) The surgery was still not free. About 25% of it was paid by me, and I was absolutely willing to put more of my money into it but the crowdfunding soared over the course of the full year and I was and still am very thankful to every single person who donated, because they have changed my life in a way that I can hardly put into words.

I do not like “calling people out”, but I don’t understand this idea that YouTubers exist on a level outside of normal internet culture and that we won’t see these posts? I don’t get it.
