there’s a difference between “I’m not interested in reading about that topic” and “everything that counters my viewpoint is propaganda, I don’t even need to look at it to know that”.

if you consider yourself knowledgeable in politics and only bother reading one side, you’re not smart, you’re keeping yourself in an echo chamber.

If you really want to debate politics, don’t blame people for saying “hey, what you said has no factual basis, check out this reading proving you otherwise”.

this is primarily about people vehemently defending capitalism, but it can definetly be a problem for leftists as well when it comes to anarchist vs ml discourse.
