It’s fun that Gamergate started with some greasy little boy blogging about how his ex-girlfriend had done him wrong and that just spiraled into the modern conspiracy theorizing we know and hate.

What’s also fun is that “The Sarkeesian Effect”, a documentary about the shady underhanded dealings of videogame feminists, did not keep track of or publish its crowdsourced budget plan. 

The documentary is regarded as poorly made, regardless of the fact that the documentary filmmaker received tens of thousands of dollars to produce it.

It’s a problem of ethics in gaming journalism.

Didn’t the guy who made that documentary say “I could have made a much stronger argument if I had watched any of her videos”

Right? Cause what’s a stronger argument that your properly used your budget than admitting you know nothing about the subject which you were paid to document?
