like no offense but how do people never catch on when someone is being authentic about their mistakes and when someone is just straight up bullshitting to avoid drama

like here’s signs of someone bullshitting their apology:

• only decide to apologize when a callout is made
  
• complain that people are hating them for no reason after they apologize
• call people “overdramatic” for still being upset
• ignores everyone who demands for a better apology
• repeatedly going back and forth with “i know i did bad things and im sorry” and “tumblr attacks people over anything”
• just …doesnt change what they do at all. this one should be obvious but yall really just think saying “ive changed” is enough proof to trust someone again

other signs:

• crytyping
• insulting themselves repeatedly (like “I’m sorry I’m a terrible human being and the biggest bitch alive etc etc”) to make you feel bad and stoke their ego and apologise to them instead – for making them feel bad for doing something bad. like,, boo fucking hoo omg
  
• constantly reminding you how much “anxiety” you’re giving them by simply calling them out on their bs
• CLAIMING they’ve been getting bullied, but for some mysterious reason they’re unable to provide any screenshots at all (meanwhile people have plenty of screenshots of them being assholes)
