Hi everyone!
I’m breaking out of my schedule of serial reblogging to make an actual contribution (lmao).
As some of you may know, I’ve been intending to write a web comic series for a while now and I have a few planned already - two of which are rather large undertakings, seeing as one will be a sci-fi based series and the other will be a fantasy based series (both will require a lot of world building and fleshing out before I start them, but the ideas are definitely in the works) and while I 100% plan on writing and making these some day soon (particularly the sci-fi series), I’m going to go by the age old saying of “don’t run before you can walk”.
Because these are ideas I genuinely care about a lot and really want to pour as much time and care into them as I can, I want to avoid metaphorically jumping into the deep end with these ones since they’re such large undertakings.
Therefore, I’m thinking of breaking myself into writing and drawing comics by starting a Slice-Of-Life web comic, mainly focusing around a bunch of LGBTQ+/MOGAI individuals at university, drawing from my own experiences and history.
It will mostly centre on the protagonist Amber, a sweet and bubbly polysexual girl, and her genderqueer neighbour, Fallow, who themselves is learning to come to terms with who they are and their history. There will be lots of banter, queer characters, positivity and coming-of-age sort of experiences. ☺️
What I want to know is, would anyone be interested in reading this??? I’m really quite excited about this (I even have a name planned) so I’d really appreciate some feedback and ideas!!!
