yeah, ‘c’est toi le/la/les x’ is not only very widespread, it’s basically an automatic response for a lot of people even when you don’t have any beef with anyone. sometimes it is a drag but often it’s like ‘that’s what she said’. other popular french comebacks/memes include:

• dtc (dans ton cul = in your ass) when someone enquires to the location of something
• cmb/ctb (comme ma/ta bite = like my/your dick) when someone comments about the size or hardness of anything
