Stevie Wonder shocked the hell out of his fans during his recent performance at London’s ‘British Summer Time Festival,’ where the audience was 65,000 strong.

Stevie’s never one to ignore injustices, y'all know Stevie’s been standing up for equal rights since the early 70’s, even famously getting arrested in his a full length fur in a 1985 anti-apartheid protest where he proudly proclaimed he was a “conscientious criminal.”

So it’s only right that Stevie has now boldly spoken out about the Black Lives Matter movement and the countless murders of African Americans at the hands of police. That brings us to the fearless truths he was speaking in London, a truth that some, but not all, of his predominately White audience were not quite prepared to hear.
As he narrated through songs from his 1976 album, “Songs In The Key of Life,” Stevie sadly pointed out how the societal problems he sang about on that album still exist today.

Stevie said: “The songs and the words that we talk about, those conditions still exist in the world and that hurts my heart.”

BUT THIS IS WHEN IT GOT REALLY REAL AND SOME OF STEVIE’S AUDIENCE WERE SHOCKED…

“Yes, all life does matter…“ [the crowd loudly applauds, thinking that was the only point Stevie was making…then it slightly faded after he continued] “BUT the reason that I say BLACK LIVES matter is because WE are the original people of this world. So in essence, everybody in here, really, you got some Black in you. You’ve all got some soul in you, so stop denying your culture.” [Crowd initially seems shocked, but some still clap…because they understood Stevie was simply speaking truth and not coming from a hateful standpoint]

AFTER SENSING SOME OF THE AUDIENCE’S DISAPPROVAL, STEVIE GOT EVEN MORE DIRECT:
“And for those of you who don’t agree with me, I love you but I don’t give a f___.” [crowd applauds..some of them]

Stevie also urged fans to demand their politicians to:

“Cut the bullsh*t and fix it! […] We were all made in God’s image. When you hate someone, you’re hating that image. If I’m blind and I can see it, you can see it too.”

Daaaaamn! Stevie’s telling it like it like it T-I-Is and that’s why we love him!

Stevie has kept it 100 since the ‘60s, don’t get it twisted. He’s always been about black life. Always and forever…

y’all better remember this and appreciate him while we still have him

before he dies and white people try to tell us Stevie Wonder transcended race…
