okay but tony saying how steve doesn’t deserve the shield. just trying to rile him up, see him react. but steve just sighs and….drops it?????? he just does it???? no hesitation? he just leaves his shield, his captain america persona behind because he is so tired and he has bucky again. and tony’s face when he realizes how steve is giving up everything for bucky……le ave me olone…..

tony really didn’t think steve would do it, you know, that steve would give up the shield for bucky. why? because tony himself said he was giving up his suits for pepper but he didnt actually do it. he said that in the movie, that he blew up his suits but always went and made more because he didn’t want to give up the fight and what not (i dont remember exactly the wording). i think maybe that was his last attempt at maybe trying to make steve give up fighting for bucky. and steve didn’t.

and i will never ever ever get over this. because even when he had nothing he had bucky, so of course he would give up everything he has now for bucky. his newfound family, his job, his title, his shield, everything. no hesitation or anything. and he does write tony an apology letter, he does go back to break out his friends from prison, ultimately, steve tries to fix his “mistakes” but i think at the very end he doesn’t regret any of it because bucky is alive and (relatively) unharmed.
