TONY STARK IS NOT A BAD PERSON, AND HE NEVER MEANT TO PUT PETER IN DANGER BY BRINGING HIM TO THE AIRPORT BATTLE.

First of all, Tony had been keeping tabs on Spiderman for months prior to Civil War. He knew that this kid was not only extremely intelligent, but possessed a lot of physical strength. He had seen what Peter was capable of all by himself, and he knew that he was capable of holding his own.

So yeah, Tony told Peter that he wanted his help. But instead of simply throwing him into the midst of a fight, Tony did everything he could to keep Peter safe. Not only did he give Peter much better gear, he talked with him multiple times, telling him what to expect if Cap didn’t surrender and how to respond. He specifically told Peter to keep his distance from any actual fighting and web-up everything he could.

Peter (bless him) chose not listen to his instructions and went off to fight directly with the other Avengers. When Peter later got thrown to the ground, Tony immediately went to him, made sure he was okay, and told him that he wouldn’t let him fight anymore. Even though they seemed to be losing the battle at that point, he refused to take anymore anymore chances, or else he would risk Peter getting really injured.

And most importantly, the whole situation was never really meant to be dangerous in the first place??? Yes, they were fighting, but they all knew each other. None of them intended to really hurt each other, let alone kill each other (with the exception of Black Panther and Bucky). I mean, did you see everybody’s reaction Rhodey got seriously injured? No one meant for things to go that far, and Tony was livid they did.

All y’all bashing Tony when he was actually was, all things considered, pretty responsible.

It was even shown Clint’s arrow was needed to free the web around Steve’s wrists so they could’ve been stuck for some time. Peter could’ve been in and out within moments. War wasn’t a considered consequence.
