They were all grouped by lot. Looking around they saw that there were only teenagers, all between 15 and 17 years old, they knew what this meant.
They were considered as “elites”, would it be because of some accomplishment or because of their lineage, they stood out.
Today was the day it was decided if they were “worthy” to go work on an alien ship or stay on earth, forever doomed to kill themselves to work for the Troll Empire. For some people this could mean leaving this hell hole for a better life were they are not forced to work from sunrise to sunset doing little chores like cleaning now and then as usually most of them requires lowbloods’s psychic or powers physical strength, for others, well it could be even worse. It all depended on your astrological sign really.
Said like that it does sound ridiculous, but trust me it’s a serious matter, for instance, people who were born Aries or Taurus or Gemini or Leo or even Cancer didn’t have the possibility to leave Earth because of the troll cast system.
Virgos and Libras where the most lucky, helping auxiliatrix attending their duties and doing paper work wasn’t that bad compared to Aquariuses or Capricorns, they really had it good. The people to actually go there, well, didn’t last long for very different reasons though. In one they were forced to deal with the subjuggulators swing moods daily which could lead to the death of one or two humans a week. In the other, the interest the captain had for science made things become ugly. Experiments were made on the humans and other species aboard. They had the highest dying rates. Sagittariuses and Pisces didn’t had it too rough. Even if in the Sagittarius’s ship they had to fight each other, it wasn’t to the death and they were given basic care, so it wasn’t that bad really, it was just like being a boxer. In the Pisces ship, the most most important, it wasn’t as if the Empress had time to terrorize the humans, they were just another specie conquered plus she was too busy terrorizing her own crew and her crew was too busy trying to please her to actually bully them so it could be worse really. Little information was known about the Scorpios ship, especially since they changed captain not long ago.
Ok, so now which kid is in which ship
John: Scorpio
After fighting his way to the ship, John absolutly wanted to go on the ship, he fought hard and succeded. Though, he didn’t expect for the ship he was brought in to be stolen by a troll pir8 named Vriska Serket, he and the other humans will work on her ship, she often talk about a rebellion but never gets into the details, which make them think that she is lying. John doesn’t like his new captain at first and is tired of her tyrannical ways and pranks her, this would make her change her attitude towards him, because he had guts unlike someone she knows
Rose: Aquarius
After encountering the captain of the ship she knew that she had to escape somehow, she just needed to wait for the right moment. This right moment would come sooner than you would think as the ship soon landed on a planet for new test subjects. She was able to sneakily exit the ship with the unexpected but welcomed help of a small fraction of salamander-like aliens leaded by a little yellow one which she decided to call Viceroy Von Salamancer as it never gave away its name. She would then learn their leader was rescued by none other than her sister and so her quest to find her would start
Jade: Virgo
She was happy to be joining the ship, not a lot of person wanted to actually go so she won easily, sure she was a little scared but who could blame her? But that was nothing compared to the excitement she was feeling, for a long time it was as if Space itself was calling her, asking her to play the role she had been chosen to play and set in motion the wheels of change, weird right?. She would be surprised but not too much to find that a big revolution was taking form in the very core of their home planet, in the Auxilatrix’s cave. A jade blooded troll named Kanaya would welcome her with open arms and tell her she was waiting for her.
Dave: Libra, Well life for Dave Strider had always been a bitch first, his brother, Dirk gets chosen to go into one of the ships, and now he too is chosen, he tried to loose on purpose, he really did, but it seems that Striders can’t loose even if they want to, they have been cursed by the awesomeness gene and now Dave had to pay the price of being just absolutely perfect in every way. Worst of all, he had to do paper work for a blind creepy troll girl who would claim that she could see by licking and things. He thinks it’s just an excuse, but he understands, who wouldn’t want to lick that nice piece of Strider specimen? Anyways, life on ship was boring, until one day creepy girl troll announces that she is going to smuggle him and the rest of the human of this ship
I planned to give you the status of the Alphas too but I still have some things I want to ameliorate so ye
