Anonymous: Hello :). What does it mean when someone identify themselves as pansexual? I follow this blog that confuses me with their posts.

queer-poc:

to my understanding, pan means that you pay attention to personality rather than gender. it is very similar to bi expect bi is when someone is attracted to two or more genders. so bi is when you’re attracted to genders, but pan is when you don’t care about genders just personality. does that make sense?

Actually the whole “attracted to personality” is false from what I saw. As a pansexual myself, I define pansexuality as “attraction to all genders” (though some define it as “attraction regardless of gender” aka genderblind). The difference with the other multisexualities is the “to all genders” part, tough you can be bi/poly/etc and attracted to all genders. In the end, it’s onl a matter of preference :)

The heart is ultimately what everybody’s looking for, though. That quote really just doesn’t sit right with me.
