besides the obvious biphobia and transphobia inherent in the “i dont wanna see people with opposite gender partners at pride” thing, ive finally managed to articulate another reason why im so sick of fucking hearing that: it puts the blame on bi peopel and trans people for how others perceive them. heres my own irl example: i am a bi nonbinary person, and my partner is a pan cis dude. depending on how im presenting, i can either look like a cis girl, and ambigously gendered person, or sometimes as a trans guy. which means that my partner and i can be read as a gay male couple, a straight couple, or an ambigous couple. all of that has to do with how other people are seeing me. i am still bi and genderqueer, and he is still pan. it isnt my fault that other people assume that im cis and that we are straight. im still genderqueer and bi, hes still pan, and we still fucking deserve to be at pride because we’re both fucking queer.

also like even if a bi person is dating a het person of the “opposite gender” they shoul be able to go to pride with said partner bc like the whole point of being bi is that you are attrcted to people of multiple genders
