I sent a message in and got a response in under five minutes. Reblogs and commenting on posts won’t fix this, but actual, submitted feedback might. 

Don’t use chatspeak or all caps or threats, just send them actual, legitimate messages objecting to the update, the look, what it will do to the RP communities on Tumblr – whatever. 

Send them feedback. They probably won’t read your blog posts, but they will read tickets submitted directly to them.

This is from the last time tumblr “improved” the site, but it’s relevant again.  Speak up.

Just wanted to share that I did write to tumblr yesterday, using the “feature request” category. I asked them to reinstate the function that displays the number of new posts in the tags I track, because it’s an integral part of how I use the site.  This is the reply I received this morning:

Hello, thanks for writing in about tracked tags no longer showing up in the search bar. Just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate you speaking up, and I’m adding your thoughts to a report on this topic that will be shared with the decision-makers here at Tumblr. They really do read the feedback we gather, and I believe it does matter to them. Thanks again for taking the time out of your day to write to us.
