Dear teenagers and pre-teens under the age of consent, under the age to drink alcohol or smoke, etc
Please, be careful. This isn’t about sex-shaming or anything. I just want you to know the laws are in place to protect you. There is a reason why you are still legally a child.
Be safe sweethearts. Enjoy your childhood while it lasts. We’re in a society now that, whether unintentionally or not, is putting pressure on you to grow up faster, to want to be adults. No matter how you may feel about this, or that I or other people older then you don’t understand, or you think I’m being ageist, I’m saying this because your childhood will be gone in a blink of an eye, and then you’ll be wondering where it’s gone.
And if someone over the age of consent tries to encourage you into sleeping with them, acknowledge please that regardless what you may think, the huge brain differences that happen between the ages 12-18 mean that dating someone, or being involved with them sexually, over the age of consent is dangerous and illegal. Anyone over the age of consent should know better then to sleep with a child, or even suggest it. Believe it or not, even just a year or two can make all the difference in a teenage mind. And if anyone is trying to pressure you into alcohol, or smoking, when you are not at a legal age to do so, please remember the laws are there for your health. Your minds are still growing and alcohol and other substances can seriously inhibit that growth. Be careful. If someone is trying to force you, try to get away from them if you can, separate them from your life, or get help.
Sweethearts, you are all still so young. Enjoy your youth while it lasts. Try not to trouble yourself with alcohol and sex and relationships and violence. Take care of yourselves. Nobody wants to see you hurt.
And babies, if any of you are suicidal, or being hurt or abused or anything to make you feel like the above things I’ve mentioned are necessary, seek help. It’s scary; I know. But your safety is priority.
Be safe lovelies and know that adulthood will come in it’s own time.
