Please stop spreading information that a malicious website can “kill” or “hack” your computer. It’s unnecessary fear fuel.

Each such “tumblr virus” warning where I got a chance to check out the “virus” in question didn’t do jack shit.

It cannot be that drastic. Even if you run an .exe it auto downloads (which you shouldn’t do) worst case scenario you get CryptoLocker and lose your data. But you do backup the important stuff right? But that’s very unlikely.

Modern malware focuses on getting money out of you, not fucking up your computer for no reason.

You can expect ads and shady “Gib ur bank info were totally ur bank” and maybe a bullshit screen like “FBI knows u pirated that movie!! Gib money or u go to jail”, or a fake bank login website (you do always check the address bar to see if its the right thing right?)
All are fixable, try not to fall for them but don’t panic if you do.

Yes, don’t click it but no, it’s not as bad as it’s made out to be.
