An ally is someone who is cis-gender and heterosexual heteroromantic who supports the LGBT community. 

Ally week is a week that recognizes allies. 

No, Ally Week is a week that challenges allies to be better allies.  It gives them homework.  It gives them training.  It’s not “Here’s a cookie for being decent” week.  And in the definition of “ally” given by the organizers of Ally Week, pretty much everyone is an ally to someone else.  Lesbians can be allies of trans people.  Aromantics can be allies to pansexuals.  Aces can be allies for other aces.  You are an ally to everyone you support.
