Rebecca Sugar is the first female to have a show air on CN.
That’s right, she was the first. This channel has been around for 23 years and they just now had a female created show.
Animation is just like any other industry: it’s male dominated. So it’s a really big deal that a woman managed to get a show on CN and have it be successful. That’s really big and it’s also help pave the way for female animators.
