"How did you feel while I was hitting you and after?”
“I didn’t like it. I’d rather you didn’t do it again.”
“You weren’t meant to like it."
Actual quote from Fifty Shades of Grey. [Pulled from the text by Pervocracy, in this analysis]

Is that alone not enough to convince people that this book is not about a couple with a consensual BDSM sex life but rather an abusive one?

How the hell can anyone defend this book. Just reading excerpts its clear that an abusive relationship is being portrayed. I mean, he actually rapes her in the first book for god’s sake. She regularly mentions tolerating the things he does to her and how she is scared of them, rather than expressing happiness. There is literally a line where she says “This is not a man I want to cross.” (via baconisbetterthanlove)

Just reblogging myself because that movie comes out soon and i just read a thing where the dude playing christian talks about how its all consensual so its fine. (via baconisbetterthanlove (via not-my-three-patch-problem)
